作者简介

  Ru Jinghua,graduated from Dept. of Architecture,Tsinghua University, Beijing. Since then she devoted herself to researches, designs, construction and historic preservation in the field of ancient Chinese architecture.As a senior architect, she has been working in the Palace Museum. Several dozens of articles on ancient Chinesearchitecture she wrote were published. She is one oftheauthors and compilers of the Palaces of the ForbiddenCity and the Palaces Volume of the Great Treasury ofChinese Fine Arts. She designed a 150-metre-longshopping street, known as the Ning-Rong Street, withover 40 early-Qing-style shops, stores and residentialmansions, which was built in Zhengding, HebeiProvince, for shooting TV serial ofA Dream of RedMansions.Peng Hualiang graduated from the Department ofArchitecture of Tangshan Engineering College ofJiaotong University. Thereafter, he worked in the Central Design Institute of the Ministry of Building Engineeringand the Editorial Department of the ArchitecturalJournal successively. He was the editor-in-chief ofHong Kong Architecture and one of the authors of AGuide to Ancient Chinese Architecture. The majorworks he edited and rendered such as Selected Works ofLiang Sicheng, Palaces and Religious Buildings Volumesof the Great Treasury of Chinese Fine Arts. And theReference Materials of Architectural Design Vol. 3 havewon a national first prize in scientific and technologicalbooks.
