《法源译丛:佛言/中国佛学院英语教材》是德国人三界智尊者编写的一本英语佛学入门读物,系统阐述了佛教的基本思想,包括佛法僧、四圣谛、正见、正思维、正语、正业、正命、正精进、正念、正定等佛教常识性内容,已流传百年。经过多年的教学实践,中国佛学院研究部将其改编为更符合教学要求的教材。全书分为15个单元,其后加附录。每个单元包括课文、英汉单词对照、语法要点、思考题。附录部分包括巴利文、英文、中文对照表和课文的中文翻译,这样更加方便学习。

作者简介

园慈法师,俗名孙玉军,1963年3月出生于河南省桐柏县,1980年入中国佛学院学习,20世纪80年代中国佛教协会选派其为入斯里兰卡学习的“五比丘”之一,后留学英国,先后获斯里兰卡凯拉尼亚大学文学博士学位、英国伦敦大学哲学博士学位;现为中国佛教协会常务理事、中国佛学院研究部主任、中央民族大学客座教授、中国佛学院灵岩山分院副院长。园慈法师留学海外16年,精通英语、巴利语、梵语,主攻佛学、法学、哲学,研究成果丰富。英文著作有:《禅密要法经研究》,发表论文多篇。曾担任第一届、第二届世界佛教论坛和第27届世界佛教徒联谊会大会翻译组组长。
