TB/T1632 Welding o f Rails is published as four parts:-Part 1: General Technical Specifications;-Part 2: Flash Butt Welding;-Part 3: Thermit Welding;-Part 4: Gas Pressure Welding.This is the third part of TBlT1632.This part is drafted in accordance with rules in GB/T1. 1-2009.This part, which supersedes Welding of Rails Part 3: Thermit Welding (TB/T 1632. 3-2005), varies from TB/T1632. 3-2005 as follows:-The material requirements for thermit welding have been modified (3. 2 herein and 3. 2 in edition 2005) ;-The personnel requirements for thermit welding have been modified (3. 3 herein and 3. 3 in edition 2005) ;-The storage requirements and expiration date for the flux and sand mould that shall be included in the process manual have been added (3. 4 herein) ;-The requirements for elongation after fracture A)2. 0% are deleted, the requirements for impact resistance KUz >6. 0 J are deleted, the specification that elongation after fracture A and impact energy KU2 will not be used as a condition for delivery have been deleted (3. 5 herein and 3. 5 in edition 2005) ;-The test methods have been modified (Chapter 4 herein and Chapter 4 in edition 2005);-The impact test in the test method have been deleted (4. 6 in edition 2005) ;-The test rules have been modified (Chapter 5 herein and Chapter 5 in edition 2005).This part is proposed and managed by the Standards & Metrology Research Institute of the Ministry of Railways.This part is drafted by the Metals &, Chemistry Research Institute of China Academy of Railway Sciences and the Standards & Metrology Research Institute of the Ministry of Railways.This part is mainly drafted by Li Li, Cui Chenglin, Gao Songfu, Gao Wenhui and Zhu Mei.The previous standards superseded by this part include:-TB/T1632-1991;-TB/T1632. 2-1997 ;-TB/T1632. 3-2005.
