Preface

It gives me great pleasure to take this opportunity to introduce you this book about the Tanzania safaris. As known to all, since the 1950s, Tanzania has established 16 national parks and dozens of conservation areas and game reserves including the famous Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Kilimanjaro, which occupies almost 30% of whole area of this country. Among them, seven places are listed as the world heritages by UNESCO. In 2012, the National Geography regards Tanzania as the most valuable destination for tourist in Africa. Whatever, Tanzania always offers tourists astonishments and never let them down with her unique beauty.

While the animals are suffering the massive deforesting and deserting in most continents, Tanzania preserves large refuge areas for millions of wildlife which can still migrate and run freely today. Coming to Serengeti and enjoying game drives in the endless plain is a fashion for the energetic youth. At the very beginning, Chen was just dreaming of travelling the Serengeti where he could only enjoyed from TV program. He has pursued this objective for nearly 15 years. Now he is not only an animal fan, but also a professional wildlife expert especially in big cats. Honorable enough, the Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) appointed him as the TANAPA ambassador in China who will make more Chinese people aware the wildlife resources in this country.

Chen's story touches me very much. I have never found a young person like him royal to his wildlife dream since childhood. I hope more Chinese people would know Chen and come to Tanzania in the near future. As the saying goes, seeing is believing. Our Serengeti, Zanzibar, Selous, etc., are ready to serve you and satisfy you with our professional team and the scenery. The young people are encouraged to realize their African dreams by us. Let's work hard together, we are bound to make this planet more healthy and beautiful.
